Luna urged the immediate suspension and cancellation of all student visas issued to Chinese nationals currently enrolled at American universities. The Florida Republican cited newly declassified intelligence detailing systematic Chinese efforts to undermine American electoral integrity as justification for the drastic measure. Luna’s proposal would affect thousands of Chinese students currently studying across the United States.
The State Department declined to comment directly on the congressional correspondence.
