Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna is calling for the immediate cancellation of every F-1 and J-1 visa held by Chinese nationals studying in America, following recently declassified intelligence revealing massive Chinese Communist Party interference in U.S. elections.
Letter Demands Immediate Action From State Department
In a July 20 letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Rep. Luna urged the immediate suspension and cancellation of all student visas issued to Chinese nationals currently enrolled at American universities. The Florida Republican cited newly declassified intelligence detailing systematic Chinese efforts to undermine American electoral integrity as justification for the drastic measure. Luna’s proposal would affect thousands of Chinese students currently studying across the United States.
The State Department declined to comment directly on the congressional correspondence. A department spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the Trump Administration maintains the highest standards of national security and public safety through its visa process, but would not address Luna’s specific demands for mass visa cancellations.
Massive Election Data Breach Revealed
President Donald Trump revealed in a national address last week that declassified documents show China executed the largest compromise of election data in history. Starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China illicitly acquired 220 million U.S. voter files over several years. The stolen information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences, and other sensitive data necessary to register voters and conduct what Trump described as nefarious activities.
Luna wrote in her letter that canceling every Chinese student visa represents a necessary and proportionate response to documented state-sponsored efforts to undermine American elections. She emphasized this action should happen immediately, echoing statements she made publicly following the President’s address about the intelligence revelations.
Call For Comprehensive Security Review
The Florida congresswoman urged the State Department to immediately review and revoke all active student visas held by Chinese nationals. Luna also demanded a halt to issuing new visas to Chinese citizens pending a full investigation into the extent of Chinese infiltration and a comprehensive review of vetting procedures at American institutions of higher education. Her letter signals growing congressional concern about Chinese espionage and influence operations targeting American universities and democratic processes.
