The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine produced by New York-based Glas Foods. Routine sampling conducted in two states detected the presence of listeria in finished products. The recalled items come in 22-ounce yellow plastic containers marked with UPC number 194346442706. Consumers should check for lot numbers L6079C or L6080C with expiration dates of September 19, 2027, or September 20, 2027, stamped on the back of the packaging.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall. The source of the contamination remains under investigation. Walmart customers who purchased the affected pasta products should return them immediately for a full refund. The FDA has not yet disclosed which two states conducted the routine sampling that uncovered the contamination.
