Our Team

Who Produces National News Daily

National News Daily is assembled by a small editorial team working across U.S. policy, politics, business, science, technology and public health. Our contributors handle research, drafting, editing and review, and coverage decisions are made collectively rather than by any single desk.

What We Cover

We concentrate on national developments and the policy decisions behind them. Our aim is to explain what happened, why it matters and how it reaches people’s daily lives — the questions readers actually arrive with. Where an international story bears directly on the United States, we cover it in that light.

From Story Selection to Publication

Coverage begins with monitoring: tracking wire reports, court filings, agency announcements and regional outlets to identify what merits attention. A contributor then researches the item, checks the underlying documents or reports where they exist, and drafts the piece. An editor reviews it for accuracy, clarity, structure and sourcing before publication. Explanatory features follow the same route with additional time for background reading.

The Standards We Hold

Four things guide us: accuracy above speed, clear attribution of where information came from, a visible line between reporting and commentary, and plain language over jargon. When we don’t know something, we say so rather than filling the gap with inference.

Our full Editorial Policy sets out these standards in detail.
