Our Editorial Standards
National News Daily publishes for readers who want to follow national developments without being overwhelmed. This policy sets out how we produce that coverage and what readers can hold us to.
Sourcing and Verification
We identify our sources. Where a story originates with a wire service, court record, agency release or another outlet’s reporting, we link to it so readers can go to the original. Where reasonable, we seek more than one account of a contested event before publishing.
We do not present another outlet’s reporting as our own. When our coverage rests substantially on reporting done elsewhere, that is stated and linked.
Claims we cannot substantiate are either attributed clearly to whoever made them, or left out.
Labelling News, Analysis and Opinion
- News reports what happened, with sourcing.
- Analysis interprets events and is labelled as such.
- Opinion argues a position, carries an author, and appears in the Opinion section.
Readers should never have to guess which they are reading.
Corrections and Updates
Errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them. Substantive corrections carry a note explaining what changed and when. Developing stories are updated with a revision date rather than silently rewritten. We do not delete published articles to hide mistakes.

Independence From Advertisers
National News Daily is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no input into what we cover or how we cover it. No advertiser reviews content before publication, and no coverage decision is made to please or protect one.
Use of Technology
We use software tools in research, drafting and editing. Every article is reviewed by a person before publication, and we are accountable for what appears under our name regardless of the tools used to produce it.
